Senior Litigation Attorney (Employment Law Lead)
Chloe A. Davis is the Supervising Attorney for the Employment Law Department at ODU Law Firm, LLC. She has been practicing law in Rhode Island since 2014 and concentrates her practice on employment law, civil rights litigation, and complex litigation. Chloe represents employees in matters involving workplace discrimination, retaliation, disability accommodations, leave laws, wage and hour disputes, unemployment appeals, and other employment-related claims, while also advocating for individuals whose civil rights have been violated.
As Supervising Attorney, Chloe serves as a key leader within the firm's Employment Law Department and Litigation Team. She oversees litigation strategy, dispositive motion practice, discovery planning, attorney development, and the training and mentoring of attorneys and support staff. Working closely with Attorney Odu, Chloe plays a critical role in strengthening case development, enhancing litigation strategy, and maximizing case value through skilled advocacy at every stage of the litigation process. Her leadership helps ensure the firm's cases are strategically positioned to achieve exceptional outcomes for clients.
Chloe has extensive experience litigating single-plaintiff, multi-plaintiff, and collective actions before state and federal courts, as well as administrative agencies. She has successfully handled complex litigation through all phases of the legal process, including pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions, settlement negotiations, trial preparation, and appeals. Chloe regularly represents employees before the Rhode Island Commission for Human Rights, the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination, and in state and federal courts throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Before joining ODU Law Firm, Chloe spent more than seven years as a supervising attorney at a prominent Rhode Island plaintiff-side litigation firm, where she represented employees and individuals in complex employment and civil rights matters while helping oversee litigation strategy, attorney development, and case management. Prior to entering private practice, she served as in-house counsel for the Narragansett Bay Commission, advising on a broad range of legal matters involving environmental and energy regulation, construction law, contract drafting, procurement, and open government issues.
Chloe also served as a law clerk for the Rhode Island Superior Court from 2014 to 2015, where she prepared legal research and recommendations on dispositive motions and other complex civil and criminal matters. She later served as a chambers clerk to the Honorable Justice Francis X. Flaherty of the Rhode Island Supreme Court from 2015 to 2016. During law school, she also served as a judicial extern to the Honorable William E. Smith of the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island. These judicial experiences provided Chloe with valuable insight into judicial decision-making and continue to shape her strategic approach to litigation and advocacy.
Chloe graduated summa cum laude from Roger Williams University School of Law, where she ranked 4th out of 179 students in her graduating class. She earned a full-tuition, merit-based Presidential Scholarship, served as a member of the Roger Williams University Law Review, and received multiple CALI Awards recognizing the highest grade in several courses. Chloe is admitted to practice law in Rhode Island, Massachusetts, and the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island.
