Job Opportunities

We are currently hiring for the following positions (as of September 2, 2023):

This is not your typical law firm. ODU Law Firm was founded 3 years ago, in the middle of a global pandemic. The goal? To create a new and modern law firm in the New England area where clients receive the personal experience of a smaller firm while still getting BIG results. We utilize legal research technology, including AI-driven products, to maximize outcomes. We are productive, have fun, and everyone is treated professionally with compassion and respect. Do we dress super casual at work? Sometimes. Do we still get amazing results? Just check out our 5-star Google reviews.

Layi Oduyingbo, Esq., also known as Attorney Odu, is the firm's managing attorney and has utilized the power of networking and social media to quickly grow the business. As an underrepresented minority in the legal sector, he knows what it takes to advocate for individual workers and injured plaintiffs who are often overlooked. Born and raised in the Ocean State, Layi earned his business degree from Providence College and law degree from Roger Williams University School of Law. Layi left an in-house corporate counsel position at a global company to pursue his dream of opening a new law firm. At ODU Law Firm, Layi is primarily focused on case strategy, lead generation, business operations, and settlement negotiations.

Vanessa Rodriguez, Esq., joined the team early in 2023. She has exceptional litigation skills and has quickly excelled in her role. When a case needs to go to court, you certainly want her to be on your side. She received her undergraduate degree from Harvard College with honors and law degree from Harvard Law School with multiple academic awards. Prior to joining our firm, Vanessa worked in “Big Law” for AM Law “Top 20” law firms. At ODU Law Firm, Attorney Rodriguez is our Litigation Lead, which means the selected candidate will have a rare opportunity to work with and learn from a “Big Law attorney” without having to put up those Big Law hours.

The ideal candidate will have a team and growth mindset, embrace the aspects of a modern law firm, and have a desire to help those who are underrepresented and in need of zealous advocates. Our practice areas are Employment Law and Personal Injury. We sue bad employers, and we help individuals in their fight against big insurance companies. While some experience is preferred, we welcome candidates who recently took the Bar examination and are awaiting results. Judicial clerkships are a plus. The salary range for this position is $65,000.00 to $75,000.00, plus medical, vision, and dental benefits and monetary bonuses.

We have immediate needs but we are flexible and willing to wait for the right candidate. If this sounds like the right fit for you, we encourage you to APPLY ON LINKEDIN TODAY
