Kayla is deeply committed to building a more inclusive and just legal system. She serves on the RI Bar Association's House of Delegates and previously contributed to the Task Force on Diversity and Inclusion. She is an active member of the RI LGBTQ+ Bar Association, and serves on the Tempus Unlimited Human Rights Committee, advocating for the independence and dignity of disabled adults.

For over a decade, Kayla volunteered with Special Olympics Massachusetts as a swim coach—just one example of how she combines advocacy, service, and heart in everything she does.
