Litigation Associate
Tyler Brown is a Litigation Attorney at ODU Law Firm, LLC, where he represents employees in employment disputes involving workplace discrimination, retaliation, disability accommodations, leave laws, wage and hour violations, wrongful termination, and other employment-related matters. Tyler is committed to protecting employees' rights through strategic advocacy, practical counsel, and effective litigation.
As a member of the firm's Employment Law Litigation Team, Tyler handles cases through every stage of litigation, including case evaluation, pleadings, discovery, dispositive motions, settlement negotiations, and trial preparation. He works closely with clients to develop strong legal strategies while maintaining clear communication throughout the litigation process.
Before joining ODU Law Firm, Tyler practiced labor, employment, and ERISA law, representing clients in labor arbitrations, federal litigation, unemployment proceedings, and complex employee benefit matters. During that time, he successfully recovered substantial settlements and judgments in federal court, represented clients through all stages of arbitration, and advised clients on employment compliance, workplace policies, and complex statutory and regulatory issues. This broad litigation background provides Tyler with valuable insight into the legal strategies employers and their counsel often employ, strengthening his ability to advocate effectively for employees.
Prior to entering private practice, Tyler served as Director of Operations and Legal for a growing Rhode Island business, where he drafted employment policies, corporate governance documents, and operational agreements while helping guide the company's expansion. His firsthand experience advising businesses gives him a practical understanding of workplace operations and employment decision-making, which benefits the employees he now represents.
Tyler earned his Juris Doctor from Boston College Law School in 2019. He also holds a Master of Arts in English Studies from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in English Literary and Cultural Studies from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He is admitted to practice in the state and federal courts of Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
Tyler combines strong legal writing, strategic litigation, and practical problem-solving skills to help clients navigate complex employment disputes with confidence and pursue the best possible outcomes.
